NIST VS TRUTH
Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth
Chai is also a member of Architects and Engineers for 911 truth. Members of this professional group of over 3000 largely American architects and engineers, including many professors, do not accept the US official NIST investigation. Based on their private investigation and professional judgement, they believe that there is evidence that the collapse of the World Trade Center Building 7 was not caused by fire.
They demand an independent investigation to find the truth behind 9/11 and justice for the victims. The Bobby Mcllvaine Act - named after a 26-year-old who was tragically killed while entering the North Tower and whose father Bob has been an outspoken advocate for a new investigation - would establish a select committee to re-investigate the disaster.
6952 U.S. soldiers and 1.2 million civilians and non-civilians have died in the ongoing 9/11 wars which have costed more American taxpayers more than $5.6 trillion. The next time someone tries to tell you that 9/11 is a thing of the past, you can point out any number of ways it affects us to this day, including the thousands of dollars we will each be forced to spend on the “War on Terror” until the truth of 9/11 is exposed.
Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth support the demand for The Bobby Mcllvaine Act. To proceed with all the legal ramifications that have not been fully explored and misled by the NIST investigation, the group will welcome any financial contributions.

Presentations to CNSC
Chai has made numerous presentations to the CNSC ( Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission) over the decades against refurbishing of aging Pickering and Darlington nuclear stations and nuclear waste disposal facilities near Bruce Nuclear station.
His last presentation to CNSC was to remind the largely PHD type narrow minded experts that in spite of their expertises, it does not add up to a PHD in crystal Ball sciences & they should not act with a air of certainty with respect to our challenging future.

Global Zero
Chai recommends supporting Global Zero for its lofty and necessary goal of reducing the nuclear weapons on our planet to zero.
SIPRI reports on nuclear bombs as of 2014 were as follows: USA - 7300, Russia - 8000, France - 300, UK -225, China -250, India -100, Pakistan - 110, Israel - 80, North Korea - 8.
We appreciate if you could help us update them if you have more current information about these vital global statistics.

Save Animals Facing Extinction
Chai is a supporter of the organization Save Animals Facing Extinction which seeks to drive change at all levels of government that will protect Earth's irreplaceable wildlife. As the dominating species on the planet, we need to reduce our numbers and consumption footprint. Our wasteful consumption is reportedly around 30%. It is unconscionable that we continue to multiply and waste while challenging the very survival of many species. Our one species democracy is quite insensitive to the plight and extinction of many species that is accelerating around us since the end of the second World War.

WWF
World Wildlife Fund is an organization concerned about wildlife across the world and has branches in almost all nations across the world and deserves your support. Last time I participated in a WWF activity was in Bangkok, Thailand, where much of thick forests that support tigers and elephants are still not fully destroyed. We must act ASAP.

Walking and Cycling
Chai Kalevar is a firm believer in using more environmentally-friendly modes of transportation including walking, biking and public transportation. He is often spotted biking in the far corners of Toronto throughout the year. He has also walked and biked long distances with groups to protest various issues.
His few notable trips include:
* These are the minimal distances. Add another 20%+ for additional distances walked/biked to find overnight accommodations off the path.

He is often spotted biking in the far corners of Toronto throughout the year. He has also walked and biked long distances with groups to protest various issues.
His few notable trips include:
- Walked from Rimouski on the Atlantic coast to Quebec City for a protest against fracking and then to Montreal, Quebec between May and June 2012. Fracking was and is largely opposed by the dairy farmers of St Lawrence valley. The next Parti-Quebecois government could not ignore their plight and eventually banned fracking. Quebec became the first North American jurisdiction to ban fracking.++
- Biked from Toronto to Ottawa in September 2009 to advocate for bike paths between southern Ontario towns. The group biked from Toronto to Kingston along the Lake Ontario shoreline, and then turned north towards Ottawa.
- Walked from Hague, Netherlands to the NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium in May 1999 to protest against a violation of the international law banning countries from preparing for a nuclear war. Out of about 500 protesters, 262 were arrested for trespassing private property of the NATO base. Other photographers and I were asked not to get arrested but to take pictures of other arrests, in case they are needed in courts later on. As it turned out all arrestees were released the next day, except for 2 who had some record.

++FYI: Fracking is a process for extracting natural gas which involves pumping large amounts of water, sand and chemicals into the ground to allow natural gas to be extracted. After the gas has been extracted, the chemicals are left behind polluting the water supply of the area. This was unacceptable to environmentalists and the dairy industry of the St. Lawrence valley whose cattle feed off this land.

Chai has attended many United Nations (UN) conferences.
Some of these include:
- February 2018: Sustainable Development Goal 7 Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.
- 2012: 5th Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Yogyakarta, Indonesia which educated Chai to the idea of living in constant fear of possible earthquakes and volcanic eruptions in addition to the risks of climate change in the nuclear age that the rest of the planetary residents share.
- 2012: Earth Summit in Rio, Brazil where Chai spoke out for other species who cannot speak for themselves. This inspired the slogan on Chai's shirt on the flyer that says "Are we serial killers of species? You bet!"
- April 2007: World Social Forum in Nairobi, Kenya
- September 11, 2001: Peace and Disarmament Conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City on the day of 9/11. He was stranded for 4 days as all transportation options were closed because of 9/11.
- A conference in Durban and Johannesburg in South Africa in which Chai criticized the corruption of the national elites of colonies emerging into nationhood by the international corporations.
- 1996: Second United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitats II) held in Istanbul, Turkey.
- 1992: United Nations Conference Environment and Development (also known as the Earth Summit) in Rio, Brazil. Chai chaired the committee on Alternative treaty on militarism in which the idea of the Green Cross was generated to ameliorate the environmental damage caused during war. The idea was later picked up by the president of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), Mikhail Gorbachev and the new organization titled Green Cross was initiated and is still defending the environment today.
Other Global Conferences
April 2015: The World Uranium Symposium in Quebec City focussed on still unfixed Fukushima disaster of 11 March 2011.
April 2001: Third Summit of the Americas in Quebec City
Chai Kalevar has also attended many of the Canada 2020 conferences held in Ottawa by Canada 2020.
